Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TraktorStems collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use traktorstems.com, a TraktorStems account, or the TraktorStems Windows desktop application (together, the “Service”).

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address, a securely hashed form of your password, account identifiers, authentication/session information, and token balance.
• Audio and output files: audio you choose to upload, filenames, processing selections, generated stems, and download records needed to provide the Service.
• Processing and transaction records: job identifiers and status, timestamps, error and delivery status, token usage, and purchase/credit records.
• Technical and security information: IP address, request and application logs, device/application version, and related diagnostic information used for security, fraud prevention, free-trial enforcement, reliability, and support.
• Desktop information: the desktop app may store preferences and an optional sign-in credential in Windows-protected local storage, and it writes files you download to locations you select or the app’s configured download location.

Payment card details are entered with Stripe and are not stored by TraktorStems. Stripe provides us with transaction details needed to confirm purchases and apply tokens.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts; authenticate website and desktop sessions; receive, process, deliver, and let you download stems; maintain job and token balances; complete purchases; prevent duplicate free-trial use, abuse, and fraud; diagnose failures; support users; and operate, protect, and improve the Service.

How information is shared

We share information only as needed to operate the Service, including with infrastructure and hosting providers, cloud audio-processing provider RunPod, payment processor Stripe, and Microsoft when you obtain or update the desktop app through Microsoft services. Audio files and job metadata are sent to processing infrastructure as needed to create your requested stems. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy obligations.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the Service, or in connection with a business transfer. TraktorStems does not sell personal information and does not use uploaded audio for advertising.

Cookies and local storage

The website uses session cookies required for sign-in and authenticated account features. The desktop app uses local application storage and, when you opt to stay signed in, Windows-protected credential storage. TraktorStems does not currently use third-party behavioral advertising cookies.

Retention and deletion

We retain account, transaction, security, and processing records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, protect accounts, enforce the permanent free-trial anti-abuse rule, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain backups. Uploaded audio and generated stems may remain available in your account library while your account is active or until removed under our operational retention practices. Backup copies may persist for a limited recovery period.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information through the support channel shown in the Microsoft Store listing or by contacting TraktorStems through the account or distribution channel you used. Some records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, accounting, legal compliance, or establishment of legal claims. A deletion request does not reset previously claimed free-trial eligibility.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including password hashing, encrypted HTTPS transport, access controls, owner-scoped customer files, and protected credential storage in the Windows app. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

International processing

Information may be processed in countries where TraktorStems or its service providers operate. Those locations may have data-protection laws different from those in your country.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the Service, providers, or legal requirements. We will post the updated policy at this URL and change its effective date.
